A hard fought victory this morning for The Knights as we took on Cottage Farm Rangers for the fourth time this season & this was our fourth win against them!
We were missing two players today so we were expecting a tougher game against these unlike the last time we met and we weren’t wrong as they started strong but we soon grew into the game and soon went a goal in front only for Rangers to draw level before the break.
Kicking downhill second half helped us a lot and after battling hard for every ball, working as a team and starting to pass the ball around the pitch the way we know we can we ended up coming away with a well deserved win.
Our set-piece play was brilliant today, both corners and free kicks ?? it was great to see.
Well done to both Jude and Louis who both scored two goals, Joseph for pulling off some important saves to keep us in the game, strong defensive work from both Dexter & Jax and a massive well done to Lucas for receiving Player of the match- he battled hard and was full of energy in the middle of the pitch and also a nice gift for his mum on her birthday- Happy Birthday Laura form all the Knights team! ??
Special mention to Zach as well today who came close himself a couple of times, assisted Jude for his second goal and also played a good game when coming back on in central midfield & finally todays captain George, who grew into the game and started to dictate play with his amazing dribbling skills.
All the lads played a great game and a fantastic performance all round ??
