In a thrilling encounter at the Shobnall Leisure Complex on 6th September 2025, AFC Chellaston U11 Comets showcased their attacking prowess, defeating Ashby Ivanhoe Dragons with a resounding scoreline of 10-3. In a brief moment of hope, Finley converted a penalty in the 47th minute, bringing the score to 7-2. However, the Comets were not finished yet, scoring their eighth goal in the 54th minute. The Dragons managed to find the net again in the 58th minute, with Thomas scoring from inside the box after an assist from Teddy H, making it 8-3. Yet, the Comets responded immediately, scoring their ninth goal in the 60th minute, sealing a comprehensive victory.
Harry S was recognised as the Player of the Match for his valiant efforts in defence, despite the overwhelming scoreline.
