Ambassadors suffered a 2nd consecutive loss with a undeserved 2-0 loss against Yapton Reserves. Due to player unavailability Manager Merrett was forced to change formation to 3-5-2 and Mike Magill was bought straight in for his debut.
After an encouraging opening 15 minutes with Ambassadors having most of the ball Yapton took the lead from a long ball through the middle which the striker placed under the advancing Wells in goal.
Ambassadors then took control as they looked for the equaliser firstly Blazey hit bar then Ben Chivers-Gibbs did like wise after neat play from Blazey. Ben Chivers-Gibbs was then taken out on the edge of the area and the only person who thought it wasn't a foul was the ref who booked him for his protests. Yapton went close before half time as they got through on the right but Wells made a smart save and Yapton went in 1-0 up.
Second half was a tight affair with Yapton looking for the ball over the top and Ambassadors trying to play their way through the solid Yapton defence, Alex Chivers-Gibbs was unlucky as he couldn't get a clean shot on goal after the ball was neatly worked to him on the edge of the box.
Shortly after Ambassadors had a massive shout for a penalty dismissed as the ball clearly struck a Yapton defender on the hand.
But then after a disputed foul throw, Yapton broke down the left and striker rounded Wells in goal and squared for his team mate to bundle the ball in to make in 2-0 with 15 minutes to goal.
Ambassadors tried to play themselves back into the game and Merrett and Burrell came close with efforts but it wasn't Ambassadors day and Yapton got the win.
