vs Diamond Academy

Away league match

Allscott Heath arrived in the centre of Birmingham to face Diamond Academy having lost four games in a row.

Head Coach Ben Crump welcomed Callum Davies back to the club and the lively striker started the game.

Giles Morgan also started and he had a glaring chance in the opening minutes to put the away side 1-0 up, but the joint leading scorer sent his shot just over the crossbar.

The home side would then take advantage of that miss and open the scoring after breaking the offside trap.

It would then be 2-0 as Diamond scored from a corner, headed in at the near post.

Allscott did not give up though and a lovely move involving Davies, Pearce and Adjei saw the latter slot the ball past the keeper.

Tempers flares towards the end of the first half as Freddie Huxley’s excellent slide tackle saw the referee award the hosts a penalty.

Reece Beckett was untroubled as the spot kick was sent wide.

The second half began in similar fashion and Diamond would extend their lead with a superb effort from 30 yards.

3-1 down, the remaining 25 minutes would rest Allscott’s commitment and determination.

A Pearce corner would then fall to experienced full back Harvey Crump, who used his shin to put the ball into the back of the net.

The home side looked shocked and that look worsened as Crump and Davies rolled back the years with the former crossing in for the striker to head home the equaliser.

The momentum was with the visitors from then on and a wonderful move started by captain Tom Willis saw Adjei play on Davies, who made no mistake to seal the win.

The three points takes the club up to 42nd place ahead of their game with Abbey Hutton next week at Condover.
