Kestrels Soar To Victory Over Warriors In Thrilling Encounter

In a captivating friendly match held at Parkside Middle School on 4th May 2025, AK Kestrels U11 triumphed over Starland Warriors with a final score of 5-3. The match kicked off at 10:30 am and showcased an exhilarating display of youth football, with both teams demonstrating skill and determination throughout the 60 minutes of play.

The Kestrels lined up in a 2-1-3-2 formation, which allowed for a solid defensive base while providing ample support for their attacking players. Jacob Collins took his position as goalkeeper, tasked with safeguarding the net. In front of him, Eddie Allen and Leo Byng formed a central defensive partnership, responsible for thwarting the Warriors' advances. Archie Lynch played as the lone central midfielder, linking defence and attack, while Mason Gormley on the right and Lex Billingham on the left flanked Jack Waters, who operated as the attacking midfielder. Up front, Luka Toole and Kai Hanna were positioned as forwards, expected to exploit any defensive lapses from the opposition.
