Affinity 3 vs 3 Athletico Mosaic

<p>Conditions at Coundon would lead Affinity to play a home game away for the first time since demolishing Sporting Myton at Bishop Ullathorne a number of years ago.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Affinity started on the front foot and during the first 25 minutes played probably their best football of the season.&nbsp; Fluid passing moves on both sides of the pitch resulted in early chances for Affinity with Mosaic&rsquo;s defence looked at sixes and sevens.

<p>Affinity&rsquo;s first goal started with Jobo moving the ball to Luke getting it back and playing it to Josh P who found Luke again whose cross was flicked on by James to find Lee who found the net with a sharp finish.&nbsp; A great team move.&nbsp; Five minutes later Luke made it 2-0 with a right footed (yes right) drilled shot beating the keeper in his left corner.

<p>Affinity were well on top at this point but let Mosaic back into the game when Mosaic players responded quicker to a free kick tipped onto the bar by Dale giving him no chance to save the follow up.&nbsp; The goal galvanised Mosaic and the game became a real contest from this point onwards.

<p>The remainder of the first half was end to end with chances coming for both sides with&nbsp; Josh P, Lee, Mike and Ian having long range efforts and Dale keeping the 2-1 lead in tact at half time.&nbsp;

<p>Mosaic started the second half with a far higher intensity than Affinity and although playing up the slope forced a number of chances.&nbsp; Affinity couldn&rsquo;t find the fluidity they had earlier in the game and mid way through the half Mosaic were awarded a penalty when their striker allowed Dale to hit him as he advanced.&nbsp; Sephton cooly put the penalty away to restore parity in the game.

<p>It was back to the wall stuff for Affinity as Mosaic continued to press and a third goal came with a fine finish completely turning the game around.&nbsp; Going behind rallied Affinity&rsquo;s reserves and they pushed forward to find a third goal of their own.&nbsp; The equaliser came with Ian putting away a long throw from Josh P late in the game.

<p>Both teams would feel disappointed with a draw but at some point in the game would have bitten the other&rsquo;s hand off for it. Affinity&rsquo;s never say die attitude has gained a number of points this season which is always good for team spirit.

<p>Difficult decision for man of the match with special mention to Luke, Mike and Ian who each had excellent games but Josh S just takes it with a fine defensive display and a number of key challenges
