MINOR CHARITY CUP
RENEGADES
FIGHT BACK
FROM 2 DOWN
TO WIN
4-2
In this great cup game Renegades went 2 goal down and lakeside missing a pen to fight back to win 4-2
With lakeside being to big side Renegades new that playing the passing game on the floor will win this game, Renegades had 2 or 3 chances to go a goal up with misses from Steve Smith, Steve Loveys and Jonny Pratt but it was lakeside who went a goal up on 12 mins with a penalty about Adam Butler fouled the lakeside player.
Again after the goal it was still Renegades playing football and this time it was lakeside keeper who was making saves to keep his team in front. Renegades did have the ball in the nets, a lovely cross from Podsmore that found the head of Jonny Pratt but only to see him flagged offside, this seem to piss out some of the Renegades players and as they lost concentration lakeside went 2 up, a free kick from the side line on the right hand side went into the box and as Renegades keeper Ryan Lovett called for it some how hit Loveys and went in for a OG,
Lakeside was given again penalty after ones again Butler give away a silly the foul when the ball was going away from goal but the front man blazed over.
After that Renegades got their act together and started playing lakeside of the park. On the 40 min make some great play from midfield by Renegades and a great cross from Podsmore landed at the feet of Smith for him to finish from 14 yards.
4 mins later it was 2-2 corner from Gibbons found a unmarked lovers for him to hit the back of the net.
At half time Renegades manager made 3 changers bring on mikey Trotman, Jack Hughes and JLS and with in a minute it worked with a great run from Hughes and a lovers cross found Smith running in the box for him to get his second and Renegades third. After that it was all Renegades, miss after miss cost Renegades going more up, but it's on the 84 minute Renegades got number 4, a lovely run in midfield from loveys and a great run from Aaron Lewis that opened a gap for loveys though ball to Hughes to fire home from inside the box.
Renegades management team would like to thank little Chris for running the line and Gadge, James bowers and Adam Loveridge from the Sunday team for coming down and showing your support.
And a big thanks to 10YETIS for all what his doing for this club
