99 Problems lose season opener in a tight well fought match.

With temperatures close to freezing 99 Problems start their league campaign against UK Flooring. 99Problem's familiar look sees Skell in nets, with usual suspects Tommo, Carvell, Craig, Jay, Jake, and Andy. Rich who couldn't make it, is replaced by his mate George.

UK Flooring from the get go were quick to press 99Problems and it was clear from the start they were looking to continue from where they left off last season. 99 Problems however had other ideas and were focused and well organised fast.

99Problems were on the defensive and despite good defending, it was last man Skell who was the hero in the cold. Whenever a shot was fired in, Skell had aways an answer for it.

At 0-0 99Problems were most definitely in the game but whenever the chance to go forward arose it was often defended.

Then came the sucker punch, Tommo making an ordinarily brilliant tackle in the box only for it to breach the rules. The ref adjudged it to be sliding and awarded a pen. Skell who was having a good game at this point unfortunately dived the wrong way.

The dynamics of the match had changed and it forced 99Problems to be more offensive. This change of style gave UK Flooring a much bigger headache. Craig's driving runs was a real torment for the opposition and because 99 Problems left men upfront it forced UK Flooring to be more defensive. The final 10 minutes saw much more action in UK Flooring's box. Chances were flowing but it left gaps at the back.

Skell had made 6 decent saves up to now and for puns sake literally saved his best for last. Faced with a daunting one on one Skell bravely dived at the feet of the on coming striker and somehow managed to get a flailing foot on the shot diverting it for a corner.

With seconds remaining 99 Problems had the final chance, Tommo heading wide from George's corner.

1 nill loss is not ideal for 99Problems, but Carvell's men should be proud in how they fought and played. Everyone put in a great effort and on another night could have gotten a better result.
