99Problems vs Team 10 2-4

Unlucky 99Problems lose in a close fought contest.

The match got off to the worse possible start for 99 Problems as they conceded early on. Andy victim of floodlight meggery 10 yards out, enabled the Team 10 striker a direct path to goal. Skell initially blocking the first shot, with Tommo's reactive clearence falling luckily for the striker who makes no mistake on his second attempt.

99Problems desperately needed a victory after last week's loss to Ford Sports, and found a way back into the match against a well-organised Team 10 defence. Carvell in an advanced position tees up Jack who calmly finds the back of the net.

The match ebbded and flowed with both sides creating some decent chances, but it was 99Problems who uncharacteristically lost their shape and allowed Team 10 a comfortable 2nd goal.

99Problems again concede a relatively sloppy goal, and at 3-1 giving themselves an even harder task of getting something out of the match.

Nothing was impossible!

GOAL! 99Problems back in it. Standout player Jack giving 99Problems a decent outlet, plays the ball to Andy who'd made a run into the box. Andy then passes back to Rich who driven up field searching for a goal. Rich coolly scores.

There was still time for 99Problems to take something from the game, but for the fact time was ticking. 99Problems had committed a lot of men forward should have been perhaps a little more cautious...It was a case of now or never for them. Streaming forward it nearly all paid off as 99Problems advance, Jack finding space close in fires a low shot to far right corner only for it to be brilliantly palmed for a corner... It was THE chance and cruelly for 99Problems denied by a brilliant save.

With seconds left and no defence 99Problems concede a 4th.

The match finishes with the heaviest loss of the season, however confort can be taken that we attacked much better and not for the gifts we gave Team 10 the match could easily have been won by us.
