Football 99Problems vs Shake and Bake 5 - 1

99Problems stretched their unbeaten run against sides at the Academy to 4 matches with an eye-catching performance in Carvell's first match without chicken on the menu. Unfortunately Jay and Rich couldn't make tonight's match. With Rich losing a 1 on 1 with a ladder.

The blue and whites impressed against the lacklustre Shake and Bake who had brought in some new faces for the tie.

99Problems started brightly, pressing high and taking the game to Shake and Bake. They have been accused of looking overawed in games where there was a personal edge – but this was different. Carvell wants his side to be bold and take the game to the opposition and his ideas are clearly being transmitted.

It came as no surprise when 99Problems took the lead early on as Jack's cross was sliced into the roof of his own net by a Shake and Bake defender.

Buoyed by the goal, 99Problems continued to press.

99Problems second was a touch of class. Lewis showing exemplary vision to lob Shake and Bakes keeper and give the blue and whites a 2 goal lead.

99Problems remained the team with more creativity in the final third and Andy picked out Lewis on 13 minutes to make it 3.

Skell and 99Problems were unfortunate to concede their first goal in 4 matches, as Shake and Bake manufactured a chance that ended with a fine finish through the legs of Skell.

Could the goalkeeper have done better? Or was he simply beaten by the power? It seems the crowd were in full support of 99Problem's new number 1.

Immediately 99Problems respond with Carvell and Jack combining 5 minutes from time to give 99Problems their three goal advantage again.

99Problems score their 5th courtesy of Jack with Skell assisting and end the match victorious.

The win meant Carvell's side narrowed the gap on leaders UK Flooring to 2 points - at least until the next round of matches - but, more pertinently, they are now 8 points clear of the last-place :)

Well done all.

Man of the Match. Jack
